About Black & White
Chef Adam Handling has created Black & White presses as part of our effort to reduce food waste. The range of 8 juices is made using only handpicked and delicious fruit and vegetables that are misshapen and rejected by most restaurants and supermarkets.
We are committed to a zero-waste policy, and recycle all the food waste from our restaurants by turning it into compost, which is used by our own farms in West Sussex to grow the fruits, vegetables, and herbs used at The Frog restaurants. Any fruits or vegetables that aren’t pretty enough to go on a plate are sent to Battersea to be cold-pressed and bottled. This way, we can ensure that none of our produce is needlessly wasted.
We know that “ugly” fruit and vegetables taste every bit as delicious and are just as nutritious as their prettier counterparts, and we think you will too.
